Randall Nelson, aka Animal is a former ‘NASHO’ conscript. He went to Pukapunyal Army Base, colloquially known as “Puka”, an Australian Army training facility in central Victoria where he provided bush survival training for five (5) years from 1959 to 1963.
Randall is the head of The Kings Cross Bikers who are a group of ordinary blokes who freely do what they can to help those in need. They do toy runs to hospitals and schools, assist with charity fundraising and help a lot of disabled kids and the elderly, in fact anyone who is doing it tough.
Randall has been officially recognised for his hard work and huge heart. He has been awarded an O.A. M. in the Queens Honours list. Mr Guy Stanford, Chairman of the Motorcycle Council of NSW, asks you to look past the gruff exterior and through the leather to see what a role model should aspire to be.
On ANZAC day Randall says, “It’s bloody beauty mate. A chance to see the old mates”.
